My Expedition

You are creating a Google Docs presentation for your expedition to the place you would most like to visit. Watch spelling and grammar, and the more pictures, the better!

Slide 1: Introduction Slide:

• Name of State, Region or Country you are exploring
• Your name (First and Last)
• A map of your state, region or country

Slide 2: Who is accompanying you?

• Who are you bringing and why?
• Is a translator necessary? Why or why not? If so, where are you getting them from...Make sure you tell what language(s) are spoken in your state/region/country!

Slide 3: Nature/The Environment

• What is your place like?  Climate?
• What rivers, mountains, oceans, lakes etc. might you encounter. 
• What animals are native to this land? 

Slide 4: Popular Culture

• What does is average person do in this place? 
• Local "hot spots" like museums, sports arenas, monuments, theaters that tourists might visit?
• Are there famous people in popular culture that are from your area?

Slide 5: History

• Give a brief historical background to some major events from your state/region/country
• Famous historical sights or landmarks that can be visited?

Slide 6: Food

• What are people eating!? What are specialized dishes from your state/region/ country.
• Famous restaurants? 

Slide 7: Transportation

• What is available for you to travel on? Specific airlines? Unique driving laws? Something unusual?

Slide 8: Bringing it all home

• Name 3 items that you would want to bring back to Fairview Park with you. (Remember: Large items or buildings can't be moved, but you can take a picture or video!)
