Once you have chosen a case, complete the following:
- Use loose-leaf paper (to turn in) or on Google Docs (Titled: YOUR NAME first and last and Landmark)
- At the top of the page write the name of the case you chose, and the year it was decided
- In one paragraph (about 5 sentences) give me the background of the case, who was involved and what was the case about?
- In a second paragraph tell the outcome of the case, how it was decided by the Supreme Court. (3-5 sentences)
- In a third and final paragraph, tell your opinion on the decision. Do you feel it was a fair outcome? Do you agree with the decision? Why? (Remember, you can disagree even if it goes against the Constitution--just explain WHY) Finally, tell me why you feel this particular case is considered a "landmark case" in American history.
